Nodo Tau es una asociación civil sin fines de lucro integrada por profesionales de la informática y las comunicaciones, educadores y militantes sociales, dedicados a facilitar el acceso a las nuevas tecnologías de la Información a organizaciones comunitarias de la región (organizaciones barriales, eclesiales, de género, ambientales, cooperativas, grupos de base, escuelas, centros comunitarios), para fortalecer su acción institucional y que a la vez dinamicen la comunicación y organización entre todos los sectores comprometidos con la lucha contra la pobreza y la exclusión, el cuidado del ambiente y la defensa de los derechos humanos y sociales. Nodo Tau intenta darle a los nuevos cambios tecnológicos un "buen sentido" y ponerlos inteligentemente al servicio de una sociedad igualitaria y democrática.
Nodo Tau participará de la campaña ¡Dominemos la Tecnología! 2008, preparando propuestas para acciones diarias a realizarse durantes los 16 días de duración de la campaña y difundiendo informaciones concernientes a la iniciativa en sus portales www.enredando.org.ar y www.haciendocumbre.org.ar.
