Retome a tecnologia is a Brazilian campaign for activism, awareness-raising and appropriation of ICTs for the end of violence against women, inspired by Take Back the Tech. Participants include women associated with various feminist groups.

In 2009 we are planning local actions in the cities of Cachoeira (Bahia state), Campinas, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo; collaborative work on our blog and related sites; our usual tech support group, discussions and workshops via our IRC channel; experiments with microblogging; and feminist solidarity blogging. We are also doing our best to translate the Take Back the Tech! daily actions into Portuguese and share them via our blog and other channels. See our blog for more details (in Portuguese), including a a fuller calendar.
